Sport EN 09/10/2015 Upd. at 21:10 CEST David Silva limped out of Spain’s Euro 2016 qualifier with Luxembourg on Friday to leave Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini cursing the international break. The 27-year-old striker scored five goals in his last outing in the Premier League, ending a mini drought, so this injury could not have come at a worse time. The former Valencia midfielder tried to play on after taking a knock to his ankle, but was forced off in the ninth minute, with Juan Mata taking his place. Pellegrini also saw Sergio Aguero withdrawn in the first half of Argentina’s defeat to Ecuador on Thursday. Early estimations suggest Aguero could be out of action for around one month. City will now be sweating on the fitness of the 30-year-old, who has started the season in fine form for his club.
